Jeff Smith

Jeff is a Greenwood native with a background in marketing and nonprofit management. He attended public schools in Greenwood County and graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1980. He returned to Greenwood and took the helm of GCCF in October, 2015 after running one of the state’s most vibrant chambers of commerce in Georgetown, S.C.  Jeff and his family enjoy being engaged in the life of their community, most notably civic and religious involvements, as well as music and theatre activities.

You can often find Jeff, or more often wife, Lisa, on the stage at Greenwood Community Theatre, and son Granger and daughter Mary Lyle playing live at one of Greenwood’s many music venues. Jeff’s greatest passion, however, is working to improve the quality of life in his community, which is why he is delighted to be associated with the Greenwood County Community Foundation.
